This is Podcast 5 in a series of teachings that looks at the Kingdom of God from the angle of Pentecost. What happened on that day and how does it relate to the kingdom and life within it? This series seeks to answer those questions.

In the previous talks, we have concluded that on Pentecost God was officially enacting a new covenant with people. The old covenant of the law was fulfilled and being renewed and transformed into a brand new covenant - a covenant even more wonderful than the one that was made with Moses. The Spirit who came at Pentecost was to be both the sign that this new covenant was being enacted and also the hope/power of its fulfillment.

In the last Podcast, we saw that in the Kingdom, we now follow the Law of Jesus. Our deepest calling is to imitators of Jesus and his example of love.

In this Podcast, we discover that the hope of Pentecost is that we are not left on our own to follow Jesus but that we have been given the Spirit of God who empowers us to live the life of Christ.
