This is the first nights teaching from the DeeperLife on why the King died. Unfortunately, the teaching from the night itself was lost - and with it the many excellent questions and comments that came during the discussion. None-the-less, I've recaptured the bulk of the material here, and in a question section at the end I respond to a couple of the questions that were raised at the end of the night. Further, in re-teaching this material, I tried to incorporate many of the helpful insights that were raised by people during the evening.

All that said, this teaching looks at the death of Jesus from a historical perspective. For example, if you were to ask Pilate or Caiphas the Hight Priest - "why do you feel Jesus needed to die?" - this might be some of their answer.

It certainly was helpful to me, and I trust it will be to you as well.
