first chapter of John
This first chapter has imbedded into it 21 names of JESUS, including THE WORD. The last name in the chapter is "THE SON OF MAN" which is the term that gets JESUS crucified.
What Andy does is open for us these first 18 verses, which are unlike any other book.
My friend Hadi, tells the story of his coming to know JESUS from only the study of this book.
When he arrived in Los Angeles to study Kiwi fruit, a young man asked him to come to church.
Hadi was so moved after the service, he went forward to speak with the pastor. The pastor had little time to speak with him, but gave him a bible, which he opened to the Book of John and told him to read it.
Next sunday Hadi came back to church with hundreds of questions on what he had read, and the pastor having no time to answer suggested Hadi would find the answers in the BOOK, but Hadi understood that to mean the BOOK OF JOHN. so hadi studied this for a whole month, and came to know JESUS.
When the time came for Hadi to fly back to Iran ( 3 months ) Hadi again went to see the pastor, who was astonished at Hadi's knowledge of salvation, and more astonished when he discovered Hadi had only read and reread the book of John for 3 months. THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL.
