blogsA thought about JesusSubmitted by Jolie on Tue, 2012-01-31 10:44. [ Blog ]Since our theme is again JESUS, I wanted to share this short line I read this morning. These are thoughts from Romans 8 in the Message mixed up with mine. "In Jesus we see the original and intended shape of our lives..." We do experience the limitations of sin, but more than that we experience life on God's terms. What value He has placed on our everyday living; on our inside hearts and our outside relationships/character. The highest value one can give something is a life, isn't it? We see that Jesus lived with power and kindness, courage and humility, obedience and freedom. Maria from CloverdaleSubmitted by Teresa on Mon, 2012-01-16 23:50. [ Blog ]Maria from Cloverdale, Our Vision is Jesus | January 2012 Thoughts...Submitted by andy on Fri, 2012-01-06 20:44. [ Blog ]
Our vision is Jesus. I’ve said this a number of times over the past year, but if there is one thing that I have learned since we started this church, it’s that we live in a city where not many share a similar sentiment. And sadly, I fear that those who claim to, if they were really honest, sense that their vision has gotten a little blurry. 2012 CalendarSubmitted by andy on Wed, 2011-12-21 11:26. [ Blog ]Hi all... [ Blog ]Friends, Thanks so much for your prayers for our caroling night at our house. It was wonderful! What's on your Christmas list?Submitted by Jonathan on Sun, 2011-12-11 21:36. [ Blog ]I came across a great little blog as I was preparing for today, the Advent Sunday of joy, and so I shared this with our church. Here are the opening lines: I agree that “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” But I also quite like to receive, don’t you? And other people who love me want to know what to get me, so I help them by composing a Christmas list. Plus it’s fun to finally just put right down there what I really, really want. The Battle is RagingSubmitted by Joanna on Sat, 2011-12-10 15:15. [ Blog ]I was just listening to a song by Laura Hackett, called "I Put on Christ." I thought I should share it with you all. We've been speaking about the reality of the battle at hand. We are part of a great army. Let's not forget that we are at war constantly and must, therefore, put on Christ everyday. So here are the lyrics: For the battle is raging I don't fight as one beats the air |
