Thank you!

Hello Simple Church Friends!

I just want to send all of you a message of thanks.

I've been home for a few weeks now, and they have proved to be busy and filled with both incredible and painful circumstances. I haven't made it out to Simple Churches as much as I would have liked! I'm hoping to make it to the next City Wide Celebration, and have enjoyed meeting with some of you individually! :)

Back in Canada!

Hello beautiful Simple Church Family!

I'm home for a 6 week visit and I can't wait to see all of you! I'll be at Andy and Jolie's every Sunday for church, but would love to catch up with some of you who are part of the other churches!

I don't have a cell phone this go-round, so the best way to contact me is at home 604 986 6915. Or for you Facebookers, I'm on there quite frequently.

SO looking forward to being a part of things these next few weeks! I've missed you and can't wait to see your smiling faces!

God bless!

Off to the Philippines!

[ ]

Hey friends!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm off to the Philippines for our outreach at 3am tomorrow morning! I'm super excited and trusting that it will be an incredible time of ministry and growth in the Lord. Thanks for all of your support, financially and in prayer! I'm very blessed by you!

Please pray for safety, health, and unity for our teams as we minister to the Filipino people. We are really looking forward to this!

Kia Ora My Beautiful Simple Churches Family!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who have been praying for me, and to those who recently gave to me financially. What you did for me was massive! I'm blown away! Through your generousity and kindness I now have a flight booked to the Philippines and can go on outreach with my team later this month! I'm looking forward to this and what the Lord is going to do through our team during our outreach!

Safe at home in Tauranga!

Good morning friends! Kia Ora from sunny New Zealand!

I thought I would take some time and give everyone a little update. I just woke up! I slept for a good 10+ hours last night and I'm still pretty zonked, but so happy to be here! While you are in church today I will be here relaxing and recovering in my new condo. I'm going to take a few days off and then return to full time life at the House of Prayer!

Hello Church!

I know I've sent very few updates! But I just wanted to say I am very excited to be coming home in 4 short weeks! I can't wait to see you and all and to hear all about what has been happening in your lives over the past few months!

God bless you all.

So encouraged!

Hey Church! I am so blessed by what I have been reading on everyone's posts and experiences in the prayer room. I feel so privileged to have a community at home in Vancouver who is committed to a lifestyle of prayer. I'm learning here in New Zealand that prayer isn't really an option... this is what Jesus asks us to do for our entire lives! What an honour that the King of the universe is interested in our cries... He is attentive to our voices! I'm praying for you all from afar and so excited to be a part of this next 40 days of prayer! Bless you all in it!

Landed and loving it in New Zealand!!

Hello Church!

I hope everyone is enjoying a sunny August as I brave the New Zealand cold! Just kidding... it's not too bad! If this is supposed to be winter than I have nothing to complain about! The water temperature alone is warmer than it is in Vancouver during the summer! :)

Muffins

[ ]

This one is for the ladies... unless you men are suddenly hit with an overwhelming desire to bake! :) I don't think that is very likely. So here are the recipes for the muffins I brought today. Hope you enjoy!

You can double any of these recipes and substitute your other favourite berries or chocolate flavours.

Apple Streusel Muffins:

2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
1 cups (250 mL) sugar
1 tablespoons (15 mL) baking powder
1 1/4 teaspoons (6 mL) ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) salt
1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) baking soda
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup ( 250 mL) dairy sour cream
