Landed and loving it in New Zealand!!

Hello Church! I hope everyone is enjoying a sunny August as I brave the New Zealand cold! Just kidding... it's not too bad! If this is supposed to be winter than I have nothing to complain about! The water temperature alone is warmer than it is in Vancouver during the summer! :) For those of you who don't know, I am in Tauranga New Zealand doing an internship called "Revive" at the Tauranga House of Prayer! I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to many of you, or even to let everyone know what I was doing because it just got a little crazy before I left! Nevertheless, I am really enjoying my time here! The basis of what I'm doing here comes straight from Psalm 27:4. We desire to be a "onething" people... where the greatest cry of our hearts is to dwell in the house of Lord all the days of our lives, gazing upon his beauty and seeking him in his temple. As an intern I spend 4 hours every morning in the prayer room. The first half is devotional in nature... a team plays softly while we are encouraged to just rest in the presence of Jesus, praying, studying, journalling... whatever. During the second half we are all involved in intercession. Another team gets up to lead and it is more corporate as we pray for the nation of New Zealand and for the rest of the world. I had a chance to pray up front for Vancouver and for simplechurches the other day! (This is very unlike me... I'd much rather sing you a song than pray in public!) We are using a method called "Harp and Bowl" out of Revelation 5... it's amazing. If you are interested you can look at the IHOP website. Anyways, this time of intercession is really powerful as we sing and pray together on behalf of each other and the world. I get so excited every day and I think of all of you at home and how much you would enjoy this incredible worship time! God is definitely shifting my paradigms!! I am overwhelmed each day as I hear truth presented to me in ways that have never resonated with my spirit quite like this. I'm convicted daily of things that really need to change in my life... to the point where I am discovering that areas of sin in my life have dictated some of the illnesses I have! It's crazy, and somewhat bizarre to me, but I am so grateful that God has me in this season... even if I did have to come all the way to New Zealand to see clearly! Each afternoon I attend lectures led by the leaders of our school. We have been concentrating on enjoying Jesus! God is the one who created the desires in us to be satisfied, regardless of whether or not we are choosing to fill those needs appropriately. God wants to answer this longing for pleasure with Himself! I am uterly blown away by that!! Did y'all know that already and I've just been in the dark!? Proabably. lol. Anyways, that's just a litle taste of where we are starting here in the internship. I live in an amazing house; it's brand new and has a view of rolling hills. God pays attention to details! Silly things... I asked for a big bathtub and a room that has a big window! Our bathroom has the largest tub I've ever seen and I have a comfy double bed underneath a huge window! I have 4 wonderful roommates who are true women of God... ages ranging from 18-26. Already they have been a blessing in my life. One cool thing: New Zealand is the farthest nation from Jerusalem in the entire world. It really is the "ends of the earth!" Last year when we were praying for the forming of simplechurches I felt stirred when I hear the words in a song "Jesus I believe in you and I will go to the ends of the earth." Now I know why! I won't be singing up front here until mid October but I really feel God calling me in the direction of prophetic singing. There was a desire in my heart music school at Cap wasn't filling... Jesus. How obvious! Apparently it wasn't to me this year. :) I would love your prayers and support while I am here! A little note of encouragement goes a long way! If you would like to pray for me here are some of my requests: -For healing. From panic attacks, and any lingering depression and anxiety. Also for healing from PCOS(PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), and gallstones! I would love to be medication free. -For a soft and responsive heart as I hear God's word and listen to what He is saying to me. I would also appreciate any financial support if you feel so led! If you are interested in supporting me please contact my parents, Frances and Al Klatt at 604-986-6915, or be emailing francesklatt@hotmail.com. They can set up tax receipts for you. I guess that is all for now. Keep in touch! I miss you guys lots! Dayna does too and says to say hello and a big hug from her to each of you! I look forward to being back with you in December! Each Sunday that you are meeting together I am in the prayer room (on what is Monday morning for me) you are in my thoughts and prayers. All my love, Alana. Thanks!Submitted by alana on Wed, 2007-08-22 18:46.
Hey there! Aww Jolie your comment made me smile. I really miss you guys!! I am so excited that you guys are starting up 24/7 prayer again and I'm even more excited that I am still allowed to sign up for hours! Thank you! Too bad I'm going to be missing the retreat... that's on of my favourite parts of the year! Someone will have to jump into the cold water on my behalf, since I have made a tradition out of that the last few years! lol. I pray for you guys every Monday morning for sure, often more! Hope everyone is doing well! And when you get photos from Laura's wedding I'd love to see shots of Sampants and Chanpant! love you lots... ciao for now :) uk.god.tvSubmitted by pamuri on Sun, 2007-08-19 08:04.

Alana, Thanks so much for sharing! I haven't been to the simple churches sight for a while. How refreshing and rejuvenating to read your entry. Bless you as you embark on this fresh adventure with Jesus. It is so good to get away from the routine to be in a place where we can hear more clearly what the Lord wants to say to us. I will lift you up to our Lord tonight. Bless you again. I have been encouraged and blessed just reading about the beginning of your journey. Man, our God is so Great!!! My words feel like blah blah blah. But God is so much bigger and greater than my vocabulary. T Thanks so much for yourSubmitted by alana on Sat, 2007-08-18 00:05.
