I'm in charge of the baking for the upcoming yard sale (June 19th) so I'm looking for volunteers to bring baking to sell. I've sent out an e-mail to some people whose e-mail addresses I had, but this is open to anyone and everyone who is willing to help. Hello all!

As the Christmas season draws near, Christmas decorations begin to appear in abundance. And although they may contribute to the commercialism of the season, I must say I do appreciate the way they bring that festive feeling, and hopefully as Christians, draw our minds towards the real reason for the season.

So here comes my pitch. Although I personally have never bought a poinsettia before (and you might fall into that category), I would encourage you to consider doing it this year.

Most of you have heard of Darfur as somewhere in Sudan where something bad is happening. The reality is that genocide is happening there and we all have a responsibility to do what we can to stop it.
