A note of Thanks....

Last Sunday our church spent the morning with our single moms. We felt it was important to spend time with the kids and moms on Father's day. It was a simple morning - we flew kites with the kids (which was huge fun! It's been years and years since I've done that.) and had coffee and muffins with the moms. Actually, it was a really wonderful morning.

After our time together, one of the moms passed along a card to us with the following words:

Thank you. On Father's day is the worst day of the year. Most of the time, I am trying to catch hope. Without your church people's help, we are much worse than now. You might say, "it is nothing." - your church save at least one family or more.

I am feel like to hang on the cliff. Whenever little wind blow to us, we might fall down. Just little wind! Bless you all. Every little time you give us, really save us from the edge of hope. Thank you.

These words are so powerful. So encouraging to me. When I re-read them slowly, the words sink in even deeper.

The power of little groups of people, loving people and being in relationship with them is astounding to me.

And we thought we were just flying kites.

Encouragement

This letter makes my heart smile! I knew that we were blessing these people, but to hear it from her heart, just makes it all the more sweet...
I love our little group of Churches, such a great family...

Blessings,
Mieke
