When many of us began supporting the work of ICC (back in the days of ASAP) we were given two foster children that our fundraising was to support. One was named Chen Shi and today he was highlighted in the March prayer letter sent out by ICC. Here is what was written about Chen Shi: Chinese New Year has come and gone here in Hong Kong and this one has to be my most memorable. For Chinese New Year, he received permission to leave China for the first time, traveling to Hong Kong to spend this special holiday with my family. I have never seen someone so excited and taking so many photos of everything! To see his joy was both humbling and inspiring and it has reminded me of John 10:10 where it says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” At 24 years of age, Chen Shi knows what it is to be given life to the full. He continues to deepen his relationship with God, and God continues to open new doors of opportunities for Chen Shi to embrace and explore. Every one of ICC’s children and adults need your prayers so that they can grow in their relationship with God and walk into their inheritance of “life to the full.” This verse makes no exceptions and together, in faith, we continue to ask for the fulfillment of John 10:10 for each of the precious lives that God has entrusted into our care. wonderful!!!Submitted by Jolie on Tue, 2011-03-01 20:32.
I just love this - what great hope and healing God is facilitating there. I'm so happy we are apart of this! jolie |

I had read this months
I had read this months prayer news letter from ICC as well. I did not realize that the boy they talked about was one of the children that we were supporting back in the days of ASAP. Love hope and opportunity. I for one am loving the work that is being done in China.
