A simple idea for simple people

Hi all... so we've got a little idea. From time to time everyone encounters people that are in need of a meal, right? You also probably know that sometimes it can be hard to get the food together. You're busy - a full family with a full schedule - and so the good intention gets left in the pile of good intentions.

Enter... "Freezers of Grace".

The idea is simple. We're going to use some of our simplechurches money to buy some healthy food, then we are going to get together and cook it, then we are going to fill a freezer with our delicious food (we'll figure out something so that food can be in all our locations - Vancouver, North Vancouver and Fort Langely). Then, anytime we hear of someone that needs some blessing, we'll have food on hand that we can easily arrange for them (yes, they'll be some logistics and "rules" to work out - but that will be the easy part).

Simple.

Where you can help

If you are willing, we need some people to sign up to help with the cooking (we'll take care of the recipes, groceries and packaging). Depending on how many sign up, we'll split into teams and arrange a few nights where we can get together to cook. It will be great - we'll spend time with each other, serve the kingdom, and end up with a load of delicious food.

For now though, we just need to know who's interested in cooking. After we get a feel for numbers, we'll set out cooking locations and times and take things from there.

Thanks all... let's make delicious food and bless our neighbours.
