Hey gang, I just wanted to throw a couple of thoughts and questions out there for you to wrestle with and pray through for our next gathering. We are going to continue to talk about mission this coming week and for this we are going to turn to Luke 5:1-32. It wouldn't be a bad idea (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) for you to read through chapter 5, and maybe even chapter 4 while you are at it.
- As you read through it think about how we, as disciples of Jesus, are being called to follow him into his mission.
- What more does Jesus say and do in chapter 5 that might help us better understand our mission as his followers?
- What might it mean for you and me to be "fishers of people."
- As we have discussed in previous weeks, how do you feel the Spirit stirring in you in regards to mission? What is He saying?
Please come having thought and prayed about how we might as a community begin to take more action in following Jesus in reaching out to the world around us. What might that look like for us? Ask Him. What is He telling you? Please come reading to share and discuss this. Come with an expectancy and desire that He will lead us deeper and more tangibly in this way.
Looking forward to it!
