A thought about Jesus

[ ]

Since our theme is again JESUS, I wanted to share this short line I read this morning. These are thoughts from Romans 8 in the Message mixed up with mine.

"In Jesus we see the original and intended shape of our lives..."

We do experience the limitations of sin, but more than that we experience life on God's terms. What value He has placed on our everyday living; on our inside hearts and our outside relationships/character. The highest value one can give something is a life, isn't it?

We see that Jesus lived with power and kindness, courage and humility, obedience and freedom.

[ ]

Hi everyone - I have really been enjoying this website.
It has great ready-made resources to use with children. Things really easy to do at home or prepare for your house churches. There is also lessons with lots of ideas for City Wide gatherings. Crafts, verses, games, activity sheets or colouring sheets. Have fun!

help with child care in Sept.

[ ]

All the parents of in our churches have signed up for 2 months of care giving. But we still have one spot left. This city wide we don't have any volunteers to help with the 'older kids'. I'm doing the ones under3ish....Usually we have story time, a craft or game or songs.....These kids are age 4 - 10.

Any takers? Please email me.....

Hi all - I just copied this article into this post. Written by a guy named Roger Thoman.

Transitioning From Traditional Worship to House Church Worship

I Thought House Church Worship Would Be “Lame”

After years of leading a traditional church I knew God was directing me toward something totally new: a house church network.

No problem. I loved small groups, participatory studies, relationship building. I loved everything about the house church concept except one thing: I knew that worship would be “lame” by comparison.

singingdancing worship with your kids these days?

We've been really enjoying some Hillsong Kid's songs on Youtube. My kids like seeing other kids worshipping. I like the words visible to sing with and the tunes are good. The lyrics are good good.

Until we gather together on the beach and remember Jesus is ALIVE!

One more week of "Lenting"...I'm encouraging everyone this morning to renew your mind and practices this week. There are usually 3 areas we deliberately engage in during this 40 day period; Prayer, fasting and giving financially to a the poor.
Join in by fasting a day or fasting your sweets. Come to a prayer time on Tuesday. Host your own prayer meeting or worship night. Give a special gift to your favourite charity or the child you sponsor - take on a child with ICC to sponsor for the year!
