Hi all!

I'm posting my few favorites when it comes to parenting and children's Jesus-books....

For me:
Sacred Parenting: How Raising Children Shapes our Souls by Gary L. Thomas
Hold On To Your Kids ~ why parents need to matter more than peers by Gordon Neufeld

For us:
Psalms for Young Children by Marie-Helene Delval
Read-Aloud Bible Stories - Ella K. Lindvall - we just have one volume of this book we received as a gift. I know there are more and would like to invest in them, really great for children under 5.

Chanida is outgrowing some of the little children's bible books we have, ready for the short chapter books and likes a longer story with fewer pictures. I've heard the Message for children is awesome, we don't have it yet.

For silly fun:
My children remember and understand things better with repetition. Lately we've done a lot of 'acting out'....we might read one of these bible stories, then we act it out together. After Easter weekend, we did a lot of walking around the house, pretending to meet a stranger on the road....He walked with us and talked a lot, then we invited him over for dinner. Turns out: the stranger we invited over was Jesus! We didn't recognize him at first, but when we broke our cookies, he appeared: Jesus! Great, great great.

It is happy days getting to know Jesus with children.
