I just wanted to fill in some thoughts on our visit to 18th Street Housing last wednesday night. Along with Sig and Tayrn, Graham and I visited the house at 16th and sutherland that is the home of 5 women with mental disabilities. First off...I was totally shocked by how lovely this home was, beautiful place-really had a homey feeling. Secondly, Felix (the man who 'manages' 75 people in an assortment of single apartment living and group home settings) was such a genuine, humble man-he had such a soft heart, beautiful!

I'm wondering if I can request some prayer. My grandfather (on my dad's side) is in the hospital and is dying, the docs say he's only got a few days. We aren't sure of his salvation so at this point I'm just praying that God has already touched his heart. He has not woken up in the past day and a half so we aren't going to be able to speak to him and get a response. So prayer that God has met him and that he has responded would be all that I ask. Also, prayer for my family...my brothers and sister are pretty distraught and my mom and dad are having a tough time.

Graham and I have some friends whom we've been praying for for the past two years...they've been thru cancer already and a really rough past year, they've just received word that Peter (the husband) has cancer again. So here's the plan, the seymour heights simple church has decided to make dinner for them each night next week, what I'm wondering is if anyone is up for doing a dinner the week after-see how long we can love em up.
