ICC Fundraiser Walking the Wall Sept 26 09

[ ]

Hi Church :) I just recently received a reminder about the annual walk the wall fundraiser put on by International China Concern. I have posted a team for Simple Church. Please join if you are able. It was great last year to represent and walk with a good handful of us at Stanley Park. Our Team Goal is 10 participants and $1000. That's $100 each fundraising... but we can blow that out of the water like we did with the Ukraine Fundraiser :) To sign up log on to http://www.walkthewall.org/signup Let's go Church!!

ICC EMERGENCY APPEAL - Thank you!

Dear Rebecca

There has been a fantastic response from around the world to the China Weather Crisis Emergency Appeal.

Winter is by no means over but we hope the worst of the weather is. Our international volunteers and Chinese employees are now beginning the task of clearing up, repairing damage, and continuing to ensure the health and wellbeing of the children. We want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of each and every one.

God Speaks through Max the cat :)

[ ]

Hi Church,

I was in my 'time' last night at home after a busy day... finally took time to lay down and just be.

My room mate is away, so I am taking care of her cat Max. Max came from a rough background... He was a stray, skrony, frightened little camp kitten when she rescued him about 7 years ago. He use to freak out at the sight of people. She says he has really come a long way. He is still very cautious and gets startled easily... but he's kinda grown on me (I'm not a cat lover).
