Hi Everyone!

I guess it's now my turn for an update since so much has changed for me in the past few months. I hope that everyone is doing well and I look forward to hopefully seeing some or all of you soon. I will be finished my school by the end of this month, defending my thesis in the last week of August. After that, in the end of September, I will be leaving for missions to South Africa for nearly 3 months to work with an organisation called Hands at Work (www.handsatwork.org). Hands at Work is dedicated to caring for vulnerable communities, widows and orphans overwhelmed by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa.

I will be having a Jazz and Dessert Nite fundraiser (by donation) at North Shore Alliance Church (201 East 23rd Street, North Vancouver) on Friday, August 15th 7-10 pm to raise funds for the trip as I will be working as a volunteer. It will be a casual night of great live music, coffee and sweet treats. I would really appreciate your support, please come by to find out more about the organisation and my trip. This could also be a good opportunity to bring the group back together for an evening as some of you I haven't seen in ages.

If you guys could pass this info on to anyone else you think may be interested I would be so grateful.
