Sharon Cornelsen's blogspeaking my voice through artSubmitted by Sharon Cornelsen on Mon, 2008-10-13 00:32. [ Blog ]My art recently got accepted to an artshow called "Standing: A Journey of Resilience". It is put on by MCC's (Mennonite Central Commitee's) Victim's Voice. The show runs from November 7 - December 10, 2008 in Winnipeg. My prayer is that the art will impact people in a meaningful way and give them hope in their own journey towards healing and growth. intimacy, reflecting the GlorySubmitted by Sharon Cornelsen on Fri, 2006-09-22 01:05. [ Blog ]There are a few pictures or dreams that I've had in the past about the effect that our intimacy with God has. One of them I wrote about in an essay I wrote called Cultivating Spirituality and Mindfulness Through Dance. Ideas for building unitySubmitted by Sharon Cornelsen on Fri, 2006-09-22 00:34. [ Blog ]Pray for there to be a unity in the spirit with those who were in the prayer room before you and that those after you will also have unity with the others. Ask the person before you to share a general sense of what the Holy Spirit was showing them or what God was highlighting in their time in the prayer room. This will give you an idea of themes that are coming up and as you hear from others it builds a sense of connection. This is all helpful in building unity in the body. Have an openess to learn from one another. We are members of one body and Christ is the head so it is encouraging to hear and connect with each other. Perhaps one person has learned some insight in their spiritual journey that the other person is exploring at the momment. While the Holy Spirit is doing something new all the time, hearing insight helps us to notice His character and to help us to get back to the essence of what matters instead of getting side-tracked. exploring what's going on intercession-wiseSubmitted by Sharon Cornelsen on Tue, 2006-09-19 00:09. [ Blog ]I'm trying to get a sense of the heart's cry in intercession during my time in the prayer room. It's hard to translate. It is like a calling out but it seems like a long way until breakthrough. It feels like one could call out for a long time and still not break through. I'm not sure on the translation for this but it could give some hints of what's going on and things to be curious about. Like for example, do people despair of calling out in the Spirit in this city? Is there a barrier that needs to be broken through? What is it... apathy, or isolation or something else? I don't have the answers but I'm curious and I'm seeking for insight. |
