Two unrelated items that jelled over night, and came up at breakfast for discussion at our house.

The Archbishop of Canterbury commented on the WWJD sign that the "Wall Street protesters" are using as one of their slogans. The Archbishop says this question...What would JESUS do? can never be answered.

Yet as I study my BIBLE, the LORD's prayer, the Beatitudes, loving your brother, going the 2nd mile, etc etc the list is long and explains the LORD's desire to each one of us..( Micah 6: 7 ) to do justly, to love mercy, and walk humbly with HIM. Not complex!

The Book of Job is a "Love story" between "OUR CREATOR : THE POTTER and a piece of clay.

When THE POTTER is approached by the enemy, this LOVE is rubbed into the enemy's nose.
The retort of the enemy is that this dumb, stupid piece of clay would curse THE POTTER to HIS FACE, if only the glazing (shield of protection and the continuous blessing) would be removed from the piece of clay.

THE POTTER reminds the enemy that the piece of clay LOVES THE POTTER and shuns the enemy at all cost.

My neighbour stopped by yesterday, and of course the first question in traditional english is :How are you?
my response was that I was thankful! Her response was that of course this week is thanksgiving but that we should be thankful every day.

I was caught by surprise, but she is right.

Thankfulness before GOD, is worship. When we start our day with a thankful heart, GOD is well pleased.

2 Thessalonians 5: 18: In everything give thanks for this is the "will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS " for you!

A Christian can never retire. The commandment is to GO!, DISCIPLE, BAPTIZE and TEACH believers to obey the commandments. This is a call each of us is qualified to do because we are empowered by the HOLY SPIIRT, who lives in us.

As to hobbies, one can always add a new hobby to the list, while retiring from another one. Sketching BIBLE verses is so much fun. As you doodle, the verse sinks deeper into your skin, then into your heart and finally into your Soul, where it is forever available as a resource on rainy days.

To my friends of the treasury Board:

Early this morning, I stepped out of the treasury building, to enjoy the fresh air, when I bumped int one of the guards assigned to us. His face was as blank as a poker player, but his eyes betrayed some secret. So I went back in and made him a brew of the finest JJ we had, and ventured out to see if I could glean some information. These guys have the finest gossip devices on the market, and seem to be able to transmit at great speed and clarity.

yesterday, the secret police informed the leadership that a dramatic event happened. In the sudden darkness, around noon, just after the earthquake struck, a group of terrorists had snuck into the temple area No one had suspected anything, but the High Priest had found gobs of thread in the area of great mystery.
