So the Vancouver Church has a great idea for Easter this year - lets take it outside! You know, one of the sweetest post ressurection stories takes place on a beach with Jesus making a meal for his friends (Jn 21). So, RAIN or SHINE - we're going outside, to celebrate, rejoice, and announce to each other - HE IS RISEN - and this makes all the difference!

Here is the plan:
** We'll be meeting at 9:00. Teresa has posted the location below.

** The plan is for some worship on the beach, a few words to bring light to the glorious reason for the gathering, and we'll wash it all down with some warm cinnamon buns and hot bevies. Please bring your own mugs to drink from.

** How do you prepare? PRAY! Friends... just keep praying! its our greatest tool. It's the means by which we glorify and tell Jesus we need him. Come prayed up. Pray for the Vancouver church. Pray for each other. Pray for passers by. Pray.

A final reflection from Teresa Porter...
"It will be short and sweet. It will also be quite a witness, I imagine seeing as how a later service will mean more folks will be out and about. Please do encourage people to pray."

So lets pray.

I think this is going to be such a sweet time together. A time for us to rejoice!

He is risen! You are welcome with us Holy Spirit.

THe Location

Hello all,

We have decided on the location for our "sun rise" service. It will be on a small rounded beach right in front of the Maritime Museum. It is just west of the Burrard street bridge. When you come off of the bridge you take your first right and go straight to the beach/park. You will pass the planetarium (aka HR Macmillan Space Center and Vancouver Museum) on your right. The beach is directly infront of the Maritime Museum parking lot.

PS I'll talk with Andy about posting a map when he gets back.

Here's the Map!

The arrow on this map is pointing to the Maritime Museum. The parking lot is just to the left of the arrow. See you all on Sunday! Click the "hybrid" button on the upper right corner of the map to get a better visual of where the beach is in front of the parking-lot
