Four times throughout the year we are meeting as a whole network to recieve teaching and encouragment on a topic that God is pointing us toward. This time our focus is on the Kingdom of God.

A few years ago I attended a public lecture by Eugene Peterson (translator of the Message Bible). In a Q&A after, someone asked him: "If you were to return to pastoral ministry, what would you focus on?" His answer was clear and emphatic, "Without doubt I would focus on helping my people clearly understand the Kingdom of God."

Why the Kingdom of God? It could be because that was the central focus and message of Jesus. It's what he came preaching. If this was the focus of Jesus, then doesn't it make sense that this too should be our central focus?

Which leads to the glaring question: How well do you, we, understand the kingdom? And, how much are we living from this reality?
