What Will Be Our Response?

This past CityWide we talked about the massive refugee crisis that presently exists in our world and introduced the idea of potentially sponsoring a family that is looking to escape war/persecution and find a home in Canada.

While this is fully in keeping with Jesus and the instructions of God throughout the scripture to welcome the Alien and stranger, we also do recognize the massive commitment involved (financialy, physically and spiritually) and don't want to enter into this hasitly. Further, we want to have a sense that this is what God is saying to our community at this time.  

To this end, the council determined that a best first step for us would be to have some type of a response from the people. Where we can discern together what God is saying to us.  Attached below is a simple Q&A form that we'd like all members of our church to consider, pray through and then fill out. As your responses come in, this should give us a better idea of how God might be directing us as a community.
