Simple-On-Line

As we continue to live in self-isolation, this Sunday, we will again meet together on-line at 9:30 am.

A Special Instruction for the Kids!

This Sunday is Palm Sunday! It's the day we remember when Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem and the crowds cheered for his arrival! In preparation for the on-line gathering, we need you to make your own palm branches at home.

Also!  I don't have a  children's story bible with the Palm Sunday story in it, so I've created a drawing/colouring sheet where Ella will illustrate the story for us. I've attached it below incase your kids want to make their own story!

Two Ways to Join

Option One: Click on this link to be taken to our YouTube live stream.  (If you arrive early, a notice will appear on the screen telling you how long until the "live event" begins.  If 9:30 arrives and the event does not automatically appear, refresh your browser.)

Option Two: Find us at 9:30 am on our Instagram live stream https://www.instagram.com/simplechurches/

Here’s What You Can Expect

  • At 9:30 am we will have a song playing for a few minutes so that the “stragglers” can link in.
  • We will light our candle as a reminder that Jesus, who is the Light of the World is with us.
  • We will read, wave our branches and reflect on the story for the week (Mt 21:1-11). Our kids will be illustrating the story so be ready for their handiwork!
  • We will pray for us, our city, our world, the leaders who are serving us.
  • We will have communion together.
  • We will blow out the candle and say goodbye.

Here’s How You Can Prepare

  • Have Matthew 21:1-11 ready so you can read along.
  • Make your palm branches! Illustrate your story!
  • Set out communion supplies. If you don’t have juice, improvise. Jesus gets it.
  • Have a candle ready that you can light at home.
  • Send links to any friend that might be looking for spiritual food these days.
