1 Corinthians 1:10-18 | Off the Pedestal, On to the Cross! They Devoted Themselves Our world is fragmented into hostile tribes — and the church is not exempt. In 1 Corinthians 1:10–18, Paul confronts a divided church that has begun forming factions around personalities, status, and “impressive” leaders. Sound familiar? In this teaching, we explore what happens when admiration turns into identity — when pastors and public leaders get lifted onto pedestals that only belong to Jesus. A cross-shaped church is marked by humility, repentance, unity, sacrificial love, and shared leadership. And in a fractured world desperate for reconciliation, the church becomes a profoundly counter-cultural community — not because it’s perfect, but because it’s formed by the crucified Christ. We Did It!$54,072 raised to support vulnerable youth in our communities! That's right! We did it! To cap off an amazing year of generosity, we raised $54.072 to support vulnerable youth and those who work with them. $25,000 of these funds came from our General Fund, and the additional $29,072 came from end-of-year gifts from people across our network. Amazing! Most of these funds will be allocated to Youth Unlimited (and Young Life in Squamish), and in the year ahead, we'll look to build on this financial gift through additional connection opportunities. For now... thank you for all your faithful giving! For more infomation visit:
